HOW TO
Each Georgia taxpayer does have the option of sending their tax dollars to the State Department of Revenue or REDIRECTING those same funds to our Georgia approved Student Scholarship Fund. Donors ARE going to spend the monies one way or the other, we are just asking that instead of sending those funds to the DOR, that you REDIRECT those same funds to private school scholarships.
LIMITS
There is a limit on how much one can redirect. Please see below

S-corp, LLC | Same limits as joint/individual filers |
C-corp | Upto 75% of Georgia tax liability |
HOW TO PARTICIPATE?
Participation is a simple two step process - (1) Get approved to donate and (2) Donate. Each of these steps require a simple form to be filled in. Donor can perform these steps by himself/herself (manual) or have GeorgiaTAP handle the donation process on behalf of the donor (automated). When GeorgiaTAP handles the donation process, it can file and track preapproval electronically and keep inform the donor of various stages - "Preapproval Submitted", "Approval Received", "Donation Received", "Scholarship Issued" and "Tax Receipt Ready".
